CCA Showcase :)

Yesterday was SUPER-UBER FUN :D

We had this event called CCA Showcase (or CCA Fair) in school. It is when various CCA groups gather and set up their own booths (and performances) for the Sec 1s to enjoy and decide which CCA they want to join. Surprisingly, the fair sounded more like a busy Sunday wet market. Every CCA group were asking loudly for the Sec 1s to join. Of course, Choir did the same too.

Firstly, we had a quick rehearsal before our performance. The Sec 2s, 3s and 4s sang 'Flying Free' together, followed by 'Can You Feel The Love Tonight?' without the Sec 2s. Finally, after about an hour and half, it was show-time. Terence and Jing Wen tried to plug in the piano plug into the socket, but they couldn't, so we had to sing without the piano. It sounded...weird. But much to our relief, our seniors said that it was still good although there was no music. :)

Next, it was time to give out the flyers! I took a small stack of flyers clipped individually with custom-made pegs, and began giving out to the Sec 1s. Py, Px and I went around, trying to give out the flyers, but they just wouldn't accept it! How rude of them. Dx Luckily, I approached a Sec 1 girl with her mum, and tried convincing them that Choir is good :) The mother said that she would think about it, took the flyer and walked off. Yay, 1 point of success for me~ :D I saw Quinn too, and she gave me her flyer and I gave mine :)

I also paraded down the corridors of the UG groups with Grace Bu, Shaun and Ming Gui. We were shouting "Join Choir!" together, and as we're parading, we saw a bunch of Sec 1 boys. We approached them, and told them about the benefits of joining Choir. They just gave off this choir-is-for-gays look, and told us they aren't interested. I tried convincing thme by adding that Choir is for everyone, and for those who have a talent for singing, but it failed -_-.

We're actually supposed to give a second performance, but it was cancelled. So, we headed back to the Music Room, ate Want Want rice crackers + sweets + lollipops and drank Milo. We had a debrief, and at the back Clarence and Terence were having their own fight, but Miss Seah told us to ignore them, as they're gays XD. At 7.15pm, we went back home, feeling exhausted.
